Lithuania presented in Sapporo, Japan
On December 12, a presentation of Lithuania was held in Sapporo, Japan, during a traditional Japanese dance festivities at the Sapporo Education and Culture center.
Guests of the festivity were introduced to samples of Lithuanian linen, amber, handicrafts and Lithuanian food and beverages.
Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Lithuania Algimantas Misevičius greeted the guests. A. Misevičius with leaders of the “Otowa ryu“ Japanese dance group discussed the possibilities for “Otowa ryu” group to participate in cultural exchanges with Lithuania.
During his visit in Sapporo, A. Misevičius met with M. Uramoto, Vice-Governor of Hokkaido Prefecture, T. Machida, Vice-Mayor of Sapporo, and K. Houkin, President of Hokkaido University. Strengthening of cultural, economic and academic ties with Lithuania was discussed at these meetings.
