LITHUANIA, POLAND AND RUSSIA SIGNED AN AGREEMENT ON THE MARKING OF STATES’ BORDER INTERSECTION POINT
On 27 October an agreement between Lithuania, Poland and Russia on the marking of the states’ border intersection point was signed in Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The agreement was signed by Deputy Director of Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Consular department Zenonas Kumetaitis, Deputy Director of Polish Border protection department Legal division Waldemar Poplawski and Russian Foreign Ministry’s Ambassador at Large Aleksej Obuchov.
Thee agreement establishes the intersection position of Lithuanian, Polish and Russian national borders. This point called „Vištytis“ is three kilometres to the south of the lake Vištytis on Polish border-line. This agreement also legitimates state border delimitation with Russia.
Lithuania had already signed an agreement on Lithuanian, Latvian and Belarusian border intersection point. The coordination of Lithuanian, Belarusian and Polish border intersection agreement is almost finished.
