Lithuania-Oman cooperation in the field of education and science discussed at Lithuanian Foreign Ministry

During the meeting with Oman’s Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sarmi on 26 May in Vilnius, the Lithuanian Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Neris Germanas stressed that cooperation in the field of education and science was a meaningful investment, which would help to lay a solid foundation of a better future relationship.

“I hope that this visit will help you familiarize yourself with higher education in Lithuania, will open up new horizons for further cooperation, enhance mutual understanding and improve bilateral relations,” N.Germanas told the Omani delegation that is beginning its three-day working visit to Lithuania.

Oman takes interest in the Lithuanian education system, conditions for studying and specific study programmes, academic cooperation, joint research programmes, academic and science-based exchanges.

The Omani delegation will also meet with the Vice-Minister of Education and Science of Lithuania Rimantas Vaitkus and will visit Vilnius University, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and Vilnius Academy of Arts.
