LITHUANIA KEEPS SUPPORTING UKRAINE’S STRIVING FOR DEMOCRATIC REFORMS
Today’s decision of Ukrainian President concerning formation of a working government is an important step leading Ukraine out of the political crisis and uniting the society of the state.
Lithuania welcomes the provisions of the National Unity Agreement to introduce necessary reforms and follow the path of Euro-Atlantic integration.
We hope that the Ukrainian political forces’ agreement to work together towards the most important goals will be supported by the society and will ensure sustainable development of the country.
Close cooperation among Ukraine’s political leaders and support of the society are essential prerequisites for Ukraine’s success.
Lithuania will continue supporting Ukraine’s steps towards consolidation of European values in the region and will seek to draw Euro-Atlantic community’s support to these processes.
We are sure that this corresponds to long-term interests of Ukraine, its closest neighbors and the whole Europe.
