On 22 July, the Open Skies Consultative Commission (OSCC) at the OSCE approved Lithuania’s application to join the Open Skies Treaty.
According to Director of Multilateral Relations Department of the MFA Rytis Paulauskas, on joining the Treaty, Lithuania will contribute towards the promotion of transparency, confidence and stability with the neighbouring countries.
The Open Skies Treaty will come into force after its ratification by the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania.
