Lithuania establishes bilateral relations with Togo
On 22 September in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius and Robert Dussey, Togolese Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, signed the Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Lithuania and the Togolese Republic.
The establishment of diplomatic relations with this country in West Africa will help boost cooperation between the two countries in international organizations. The Foreign Ministers also explored prospects for strengthening trade and economic relations.
The Togolese Republic is the 180th state with which Lithuania has established diplomatic relations.
