On 31 October Lithuanian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Gediminas Šerkšnys and Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Fawzi Bin Abdul Majeed Shobokshi signed a diplomatic protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Saudi Arabia.
This is 144th state of the world with which Lithuania has established formal diplomatic relations.
