LITHUANIA CONGRATULATES IRAQ ON HISTORICAL ELECTIONS

Lithuania congratulates Iraq on peaceful and undisturbed elections to the Council of Representatives on 15 December.

These successful elections are expression of Iraqi people’s will to shape the future of their state based on democratic principles.

Members of different ethnic communities took active part in these historical elections. We hope that the new government of Iraq will be formed respecting all voters’ will.
