Linkevičius congratulates the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of the National Day
On 2 December, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the occasion of the National Day of the United Arab Emirates. In his letter, the Minister Linkevičius expressed his aim to foster the mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation between Lithuania and the United Arab Emirates.
In his letter, Lithuania’s Foreign Minister thanked his counterpart for an invitation to attend the Sir Bani Yas Forum in the United Arab Emirates. The forum brought together world and regional leaders, who discussed the most important international policy issues and how to address them.
The National Day of the United Arab Emirates is celebrated on 2 December and marks the unification of six emirates to create a modern-day state in 1971.
