Linkevičius congratulates newly appointed Maltese Minister for Foreign Affairs

On 9 June, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius congratulated the newly appointed Maltese Minister for Foreign Affairs Carmelo Abela.
In his congratulation letters, Lithuania’s Foreign Minister welcomed friendly bilateral ties between our countries and their successful cooperation during the period of Malta’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2017. The countries will continue their cooperation to build a secure and peaceful future for Europe and the citizens of our countries.
The early parliamentary elections were held in Malta on 3 June. A new Cabinet was sworn in on 9 June.
