Linkevičius and Denmark’s new Ambassador discuss cooperation within EU and NATO

On 16 September, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the new Danish Ambassador Dan Eddie Frederiksen to discuss intensive cooperation between Lithuania and Denmark within NATO and the European Union.

The new Ambassador of Denmark to Lithuania stressed that the newly-formed Danish Government was ready to further advance relations with the Baltic States. The Danish Embassy in Lithuania will cooperate for the implementation of joint projects, sharing experiences in various fields and promoting contacts between experts.

This year, Denmark is coordinating the Nordic-Baltic cooperation (NB8). The NB8 focus areas in 2015 – the Eastern Partnership, energy security and strategic communications – are of particular importance for Lithuania and the entire region.
