LINAS LINKEVIČIUS WILL PAY A WORKING VISIT TO UK, MEET WITH WILLIAM HAGUE, ATTEND ACADEMIC AND LITHUANIAN COMMUNITY EVENTS
On 9-12 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius is to pay a working visit to London, where he will meet with the British Foreign Secretary William Hague and UK’s high-ranking officials, and will take part in events organised by the prestigious Chatham House think-tank and the local Lithuanian community.
Meetings with British politicians will focus on Lithuania’s preparation for holding Presidency of the EU Council, the bilateral and regional cooperation, Eastern Partnership policy, and other key issues on the European and international agenda.
Together with the Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, the head of the Lithuanian diplomacy will attend a seminar on Eastern Partnership issues, which is co-organised by Chatham House, Britain’s prestigious independent policy institute, and Poland.
The agenda of the visit to London also includes meetings with UK’s business and media representatives. Over the weekend, Linkevičius will attend events of the Lithuanian community in the UK.
