Linas Linkevičius takes part in the Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Luxembourg

Foreign Affairs Minister Linas Linkevičius will take part in the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting to be held in Luxembourg on 14 April. During the meeting the Foreign Affairs Ministers will discuss issues of the Eastern Partnership, and especially much attention will be devoted to the situation in Ukraine.

Also, a discussion about a political, humanitarian situation in Syria and carrying out the destruction of Syria’s chemical weapons is planned to be held at the meeting.

The EU Foreign Affairs Ministers will also discuss the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina where reforms are delayed and the process of European integration is impeded. Disturbances in the country in February of this year showed the necessity of taking urgent actions.
