Landsbergis to pay a working visit to the United States
The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis, will be on a working visit to the U. S. from December 4 to 6.
The Foreign Minister will attend and testify at the U.S. Helsinki Commission Congressional Hearing in Washington, D.C., to examine the role of Belarus in Russia’s crimes.
“The Lukashenka regime is actively involved in Russia’s aggression strategy. Our response to Russia’s provocations and aggressive actions must be swift, decisive, deterring, and have far-reaching consequences for Russia,” said Landsbergis.
In the U.S. capital, the Foreign Minister’s intensive agenda for bilateral meetings includes meetings with the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell and other U.S. policymakers, representatives of NGOs and journalists.
The Foreign Minister will end his U.S. visit in New York, where he will meet with members of the American Jewish Committee – a global Jewish advocacy organization.
