Landsbergis to participate in a foreign and security policy debate and the Council of the Baltic Sea States in Finland

At the invitation of the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis, will participate in the Kultaranta Talks 2024: "Resetting Europe in the Evolving World Order" on 13 June in Helsinki. About a hundred influential participants from various sectors of society, including national and international policymakers, researchers, representatives of public administration, trade and industry, civil society organisations, and the media, are invited to attend the event. The theme of this year's conference is the future of Europe. Landsbergis will address the panel on internal European dynamics.

On 14 June, Lithuania's Foreign Minister will participate in the traditional Foreign Ministers' meeting of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) in the Finnish city of Porvoo. Finland is currently holding the CBSS Presidency, which lasts until 1 July.

The Foreign Ministers will discuss the response to Russia's hybrid attacks and increasing preparedness to respond to crises in the Baltic Sea region. They will also discuss the organisation's future, meet with youth representatives from CBSS countries and adopt a joint declaration.

The CBSS is an intergovernmental political forum for cooperation between the states in the Baltic Sea Region.

The Council comprises the foreign ministers of the Baltic states, the Nordic countries, Germany, and Poland, as well as representatives of the European External Action Service. It meets once a year, and the presidency rotates among the member states from 1 July to 30 June each year.
