Landsbergis to meet with Latvia's new Foreign Minister in Vilnius

On May 10, Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gabrielius Landsbergis, will receive Latvia's new Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, who will pay a working visit to Lithuania. The Foreign Ministers will discuss ensuring the mobilisation of support to Ukraine in the fight against Russia's military aggression, the importance of supporting Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration, the security situation in the Baltic Sea region, the significance of unified application of sanctions against Russia, and the items on the Lithuanian-Latvian bilateral and regional cooperation agenda.

Baiba Braže is a professional diplomat who previously worked in the Latvian diplomatic service and NATO structures and was appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia on April 19, 2024, after the resignation of the former Foreign Minister Krišjānis Kariņš.
