Landsbergis to attend the NATO Foreign Ministers' meeting
On 2-4 December, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis, will visit Brussels to attend the Meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
At the meeting, the ministers will discuss preparations for the NATO summit in The Hague, measures to respond to Russia's hybrid actions in Europe, additional ways to institutionalise coordination of support to Ukraine, and address NATO's Southern Neighbourhood challenges together with King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan.
There will also be a meeting of NATO-Ukraine Council where the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, will present the latest strategic assessment of the country's most urgent defence needs. During the visit, Landsbergis will meet with the Ukrainian Minister for bilateral consultations. He will also attend a meeting with the Foreign Ministers of the Nordic and Baltic states, Germany, Poland, and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice President-designate Kaja Kallas. They will discuss the security priorities of the Nordic-Baltic region, the importance of enhancing European defense and deterrence on NATO’s eastern flank, and preparations for the Hague summit.
