Landsbergis in the U.S.A.: "I hope that the transatlantic bond, which has greatly contributed to many Lithuania's achievements, will remain unwavering"

On 22 March, Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabriel Landsbergis met with the Harrisburg community in Pennsylvania and Harrisburg World Affairs Council members.

"I am here in the heart of the United States because I am confident that I hope that the transatlantic bond, which has greatly contributed to many of Lithuania's achievements, will remain unwavering," said Minister Landsbergis at a meeting with politicians, journalists and local community of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The Lithuanian Foreign Minister's visit to Harrisburg is yet another example of the close historical and economic ties between Lithuania and Pennsylvania.

During the meeting, the Minister shared his insights not only on the security situation in Europe but also on the history of Lithuania's fights for freedom and achievements during the 20 years of the EU and NATO membership.

"Lithuania is not only one of the happiest countries in the world but also the country located closest to Russia's war against Ukraine," said Mr Landsbergis in response to questions from the Harrisburg community.

Members of the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg were interested in investment, tourism, and other opportunities for cooperation with Lithuania.
