L. Linkevičius to attend the OSCE Ministerial Council in Switzerland
On 3-5 December, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius will be attending the 21st OSCE Ministerial Council in Basel, Switzerland. The most important item on the agenda will be the European security crisis, which has resulted from Russian aggression towards Ukraine.
The Ministers will assess serious violations of the Helsinki Final Act and other OSCE fundamental documents, commitments and principles of international law, when one OSCE member state has undermined the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of another state.
L.Linkevičius underlined that the most important task of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Basel was to restore the supremacy of international law in the occupied part of Ukraine. The OSCE can play an important role, first of all, in ensuring implementation of the Minsk agreements.
