JOINT LITHUANIAN-RUSSIAN DEMARCATION COMMISSION MEETS IN VILNIUS

On 18-20 October third meeting of Joint Lithuanian-Russian Demarcation Commission is held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. At the meeting simplified rules for crossing Lithuanian-Russian border at the time of demarcation works should be adopted.
Experts of the Commission continue to coordinate the principles of border marking, division of work and technical instructions necessary to start demarcation.
Lithuanian delegation is headed by the Deputy Director of Foreign Ministry Eastern Europe and Central Asia Department and the Head of the Commission for Delimitation and Demarcation of Lithuanian State Border Zenonas Kumetaitis and Russian delegation by Ambassador at Large of Russian Foreign Ministry Aleksej Obuhov.
