JAPAN’S GRANT AID FOR LITHUANIAN NATIONAL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

On 11 December a solemn ceremony of provision of Japan’s cultural grant aid for the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra took place in Vilnius Congress Concert Hall.
Lithuanian Foreign Ministry State Secretary Algimantas Rimkūnas and Japanese Ambassador to Lithuania Gotaro Ogava exchanged diplomatic notes on provision of this grant aid.
Japanese Government allocates 43,8 million yen (1,08 million litas) to Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra for purchase of musical instruments.
Lithuanian Foreign Ministry State Secretary welcomed strengthening relations between Lithuania and Japan and thanked for Japanese Government’s support extended to Lithuania’s cultural institutions.
