IN RIGA LITHUANIAN MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS IS TAKING PART IN THE EVENT MARKING SCHENGEN ENLARGEMENT

On 26 December, in Riga, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Petras Vaitiekūnas is taking part in the event, which is dedicated to Lithuania’s and Latvia’s joining of the Schengen area.

On this occasion, the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre will present Jacques Fromental Halévy’s opera La juive in Latvian National Opera. This opera has been at the summit of fame in Lithuania. It is anticipated that Latvia’s President Valdis Zatlers and other high-ranking Latvian officials are coming to attend the opera.
