In London, Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister discusses Lithuania-UK defence cooperation, relations with eastern neighbours

On 29 November, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Darius Skusevičius met with Sir Alan Duncan, Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom to discuss the most important issues related to transatlantic cooperation, regional security, the Eastern Partnership, as well as relations with Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus.

“We welcome the strong cooperation between Lithuania and the United Kingdom. In the context of ensuring security in the Baltic region and in the whole of Europe, the British input is very important,” said Skusevičius. In the meeting with his counterpart  Duncan, Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister also discussed relations with the eastern neighbours and the results of the 5th Eastern Partnership Summit. The summit took place in Brussels on 24 November.
