In Bangkok, Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister signs a condolence book for the King of Thailand

On 14 October, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Neris Germanas, who is paying a working visit to Thailand, signed a condolence book of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, expressing his deepest condolences after the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Lithuania, I offer my sincerest condolences to the Thai Royal Family, the Government and the people of Thailand. We are deeply saddened by the news of His Majesty the King’s passing. He was a great man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of the people of Thailand and international community,” wrote Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister.

Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej has died aged 88 after long illness. On 13 October, the world’s longest-reigning monarch passed away after 70 years on throne. His son the Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn is the successor to the throne of Thailand.

Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister is visiting Thailand on 12-14 October, where he is participating in the 21st ASEAN-EU Ministerial Meeting.
