IMPORTANT BILATERAL ISSUES WERE DISCUSSED DURING THE CONSULTATIONS OF LITHUANIAN AND BELARUSIAN MINISTRIES OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

During the annual consultations of Lithuanian and Belarusian Ministries of Foreign Affairs, important issues of bilateral relations and perspectives of economic cooperation were discussed.

On 19-20 June, during the consultations in Kaunas and Palanga, Lithuanian and Belarusian delegations were headed by Undersecretary of Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Laimonas Talat-Kelpša and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Valery Voronetsky.

Participants of the consultations also discussed relations between the European Union and Belarus, freight transit via territories of the countries, investment promotion, environment protection, the issues of national minorities and other important matters.

Lithuanian and Belarusian delegations met with the administration of Kaunas city and visited the Kaunas free economic zone.
