HEADS OF THE EU EMBASSIES IN MINSK VISITED DRUSKININKAI

On 19-20 October the Heads of the Embassies of the EU Member States in Minsk visited Druskininkai where they met the heads of Alytus County and the Mayor of Druskininkai.

Representatives of Druskininkai Municipality acquainted the diplomats with the town development plan, told about cooperation with neighbour Belarusian regions and participation in activities of Nemunas Euroregion.

The visit is a part of diplomats’ residing in Belarus tour in the border regions of Lithuania, Belarus, and Poland. Grodno (Belarus), Augustow and Bialystok (Poland) will also be visited during the tour.

The aim of the visit is to acquaint European diplomats with regional development, cooperation projects, potential of economic ties and tourism in the border regions of Lithuania, Belarus and Poland.
