GEORGIAN CHILDREN PERFORMED LITHUANIAN SONGS IN TBILISI

Georgian TV Mze organized the World Song Festival for Children, during which Georgian pupils Elene Daraselia, Natia Jamerashvili and Eteri Sirbilashvili performed Lithuanian songs and won the song contest.

These pupils, together with hostess and producer of the contest Maia Datunashvili, and music teacher of the pupils Medea Kavtaradze took part in the project “Voice of Georgia” and visited Vilnius on 12-16 December.  The project was implemented by the Lithuanian Embassy in Tbilisi and the Alma Adamkus Fund.

During the visit, the children sang at a Christmas tree lighting party at the presidential palace and during the children concert, which was organized by the Alma Adamkus Fund in Siemens arena.

The pupils also intend to sing in the Czech Republic, Israel, the USA, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, Turkey and Germany. Lithuanian Embassy in Georgia awarded the pupils, who performed Lithuanian songs in the World Song Festival for Children.

On Christmas Day, Georgian TV Mze plans to broadcast the final concert of the participants of the children song contest, during which Lithuanian songs will be performed.
