GEORGIA STILL NEEDS HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE – YOU ARE INVITED TO CONTRIBUTE
According to the unofficial data, humanitarian assistance has already reached about 10,000 residents of Georgia. However, about 78,000 people who have suffered from war in the western regions of the country are still waiting for it.
According to Georgia’s volunteer organisations, food, special baby food and hygiene items are in greatest demand.
From 18 August, food and baby food is being collected. It will be sent to Georgia on a military aircraft. Lithuanian residents and local companies are kindly invited to contribute to this charity campaign.
Alimentary products are collected at the Volunteer Centre in Vilnius, S.Moniuškos Street 27 (the building of Žvėrynas Neighbourhood Administration, 2nd floor), 9:00 h through 21:00 h.

The alimentary products that are being collected:
· Baby milk!!!
· Noodles, flour, cereals;
· Sugar;
· Dry convenience foods (dry soups, kisiel dry porridges);
· Tinned goods (condensed milk, canned meat and fish preserves);
Please note that alimentary products after expiry date are not accepted, also packages of donated products should not be broken.
