FUNCTIONS OF THE LITHUANIAN EMBASSY IN JAPAN WILL BE PARTIALLY CARRIED OUT IN OSAKA
Temporarily the functions of the Lithuanian Embassy in Japan will be partially carried out in the city of Osaka. Some of the staff of the Lithuanian Embassy in Japan are temporarily transferred to this city and additional premises are rented, as the nuclear safety situation remains uncertain after the incidents in Japan’s nuclear power plant.
Some other EU representations have also moved their staff from Tokyo for a time.The Lithuanian Embassy in Tokyo continues to perform consular functions and provides services to Lithuanian citizens. In case of an emergency, the Embassy staff will travel to Tokyo.

Currently, it is not recommended for Lithuanian citizens to travel to Japan.
