And Lithuania’s incoming Presidency of the EU Council intends to make every effort to create such Europe,” the Lithuanian Foreign Minister said. He also expressed hope that France would be represented at the highest level at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius in November.

Repentin stressed that France believed that the Vilnius Summit would be a “story of success” and promised to fully contribute, so that the event would give a positive and full impetus for the Eastern Partnership process.

Linkevičius and RepentinThe French Junior Minister for European Affairs promised France’s support to Lithuania during the term of the Presidency of the EU Council.

According to Linkevičius, Lithuania is fully aware of the great responsibility of the rotating Presidency of the EU Council. He vowed that the pace of implementation of the EU’s key tasks will not be slowed down in the second half of 2013.
