Foreign Vice-Minister Vidmantas Verbickas met with the Ambassador of Rwanda: We seek mutually beneficial cooperation
On 19 November, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Vidmantas Verbickas met with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to Lithuania Lambert Dushimimana.
Both sides stressed the desire to develop a partnership in the fields of education, good governance, and economics, focusing on mutually beneficial and meaningful cooperation.
When discussing Russia's war against Ukraine, the Vice-Minister Verbickas said the aggression poses a threat to the rules-based international order and stressed the need to defend the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
During the meeting, Father Hermanas Jonas Šulcas was remembered as a symbol of solidarity between the people of Lithuania and Rwanda.
Lithuania and Rwanda established diplomatic relations in 2013. Lambert Dushimimana, who resides in The Hague, is Rwanda’s third Ambassador accredited to Lithuania.
