Foreign Vice-Minister Germanas discusses bilateral cooperation with member of Italy’s Chamber of Deputies
On 5 October, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Neris Germanas met with the member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Lia Quartapelle and discussed prospects for the development of bilateral relations between Lithuania and Italy.
“We greatly appreciate Italy’s contribution to security in our region, participation in the NATO enhanced forward forces in the Baltic states and NATO’s Air Policing mission in Lithuania,” said Germanas.
The meeting also discussed the relocation of the two EU agencies currently based in the United Kingdom. Due to the withdrawal of the UK from the European Union, Italy seeks Lithuania’s support for moving the European Medical Agency from London to Milan.
