Foreign Vice-Minister D. Skusevičius visits Ukraine’s cities of Poltava and Kremenchuk

On 13-15 March, a delegation led by the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Darius Skusevičius visited Ukraine’s cities of Poltava and Kremenchuk.

In Poltava, Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister opened the Business and Cultural Center named after Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis. The center aims to promote mutual cooperation in the fields of business and culture. D. Skusevičius took part in the first Poltava-Lithuania Business Forum "Ukraine-Lithuania: the European Union’s experience", met with the Mayor of Poltava Oleksandr Shamota, and representatives of amalgamated territorial communities. The Foreign Vice-Minister also visited the National Law Academy named after Yaroslav Mudry in Poltava, talked with the students and answered their questions, and invited them to continue their studies in Lithuania.

Lithuania’s Foreign Vice-Minister also visited Kremenchuk, the main industrial city in Poltava, Ukraine. He met with local public figures, including heads of institutions of higher education, students, teachers, doctors, military representatives, and members of local religious communities.

In the meeting with the Mayor of Kremenchuk Vitaly Maletsky, the interlocutors welcomed outcomes of cooperation between Lithuania and Ukraine in the fields of business and education, as well as an increased awareness of Kremenchuk in Lithuania.

D. Skusevičius also visited the Lycée No. 4 and discussed Lithuania's path to the EU and NATO with its students.
