Foreign Ministry’s statement on Catalonia referendum

The Catalan referendum of October 1, 2017, failed to comply with the Spanish Constitution. Lithuania fully supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Spain. The rule of law has to be upheld.

We call upon parties to engage in a constructive dialogue and calm tensions.
