FOREIGN MINISTERS OF POLAND, SLOVENIA AND SWEDEN TO PAY A VISIT TO VILNIUS

On 11 May Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia currently presiding over the EU Dmitrij Rupel, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Radoslaw Sikorski and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden Carl Bildt are coming to Vilnius.

On Sunday evening Polish, Slovenian and Swedish ministers will meet Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Petras Vaitiekūnas. At the meeting it is planned to discuss issues on the top of the EU agenda including start of the EU negotiations with Russia on a new Partnership and Cooperation Agreement.

On 12 May Lithuanian, Polish, Slovenian and Swedish foreign ministers will go to Georgia to demonstrate support to Georgia’s European integration aspirations, its territorial integrity and encourage to maintain calm in this difficult situation, that arose after unilateral Russia’s actions, which increase tension and induce separatism in Georgia’s regions Abkhazia and Southern Ossetia. 

For attention of the media: joint press conference of four foreign ministers will be organized in the evening of 11 May after Lithuanian, Polish, Slovenian and Swedish foreign ministers’ meeting in Vilnius.

Exact place and time of the press conference will be announced later.
