FOREIGN MINISTERS OF LITHUANIA AND MONACO DISCUSS POSSIBILITIES FOR ENHANCING COOPERATION
On 15 October, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis and José Badia, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Monaco discussed important issues related to the United Nations and the European Union, and possibilities for enhancing bilateral political and economic cooperation.
“At the moment, when entire Europe is grappling with the economic crisis and facing challenges of globalization, close cooperation among the countries of the continent, including the smallest ones, is especially important, as well as solidarity when searching for solutions to today’s problems,” the head of Lithuania’s diplomacy said.
The Minister welcomed the successful cooperation between the countries within international organisations and thanked Monaco for its support to Lithuania’s candidate during the election of the President of the United Nations General Assembly this June.
