On 24-26 March Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antanas Valionis pays a working visit to Moldova. During the visit bilateral meetings with Moldovan heads of state and leaders of parliamentary opposition parties are going to take place. During the meetings it is planned to discuss topical issues of Moldovan internal and external policy after parliamentary elections of 6 March, as well as EU-Moldovan relations, especially concerning the implementation of EU-Moldova Action Plan adopted in February. In the meeting development of bilateral Lithuanian and Moldovan relations, perspectives of Transnistrian conflict settlement, problems of regional cooperation will be considered. Lithuanian Foreign Minister visited Moldova on 5-6 December, 2001 as a Chairman of Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
