FOREIGN MINISTER TO PAY A WORKING VISIT TO LATVIA

On 6-7 May Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antanas Valionis goes on a working visit to Riga.
On 6 May the Minister will take part in an international conference „Democracy Beyond the Baltics – Euro Atlantic Contribution“ where he will deliver a report on democracy expansion to the East, discuss Ukraine’s and Moldova’s aspirations for European integration, conflict settlement in post-Soviet area and situation in Byelorussia.Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark Uffe Elleman-Jensen, U.S. political scientists Bruce Jackson and Ron Asmus, political experts from Russia, Byelorussia and Moldova are also planning to participate in the conference.
The same day A. Valionis with his Latvian counterpart Artis Pabriks are going to discuss topicalities of bilateral cooperation.
On 7 May Lithuanian Foreign Minister will take part in the meeting of three Baltic States’ and U.S. presidents and trilateral meeting of Baltic States presidents.
