FOREIGN MINISTER TO EXPRESS CONDOLENCES ON THE DEATH OF ROBIN COOK

On 8 August Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antanas Valionis sent a telegram to the UK Foreign Secretary Jack Straw expressing his condolences on the death of former Head of British diplomacy Robin Cook.

“Britain as well as the rest of the World lost a great intellectual politician and statesman. Robin Cook will be remembered in Lithuania as a man of principle who stood for values of freedom and democracy and who supported Lithuania‘s integration into the European Union and NATO,” is written in A. Valionis’ letter of condolences.
