FOREIGN MINISTER OF JAPAN TO VISIT LITHUANIA

On 5 May Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antanas Valionis meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Taro Aso, who pays an official visit to Lithuania on 5-6 May.

During the visit Japanese Foreign Minister’s meetings with Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus and Prime Minister Algirdas Brazauskas are planned. On 6 May Japanese delegation will visit Kaunas.

This is the first visit of a high Japanese official to Lithuania since establishment of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Japan on 10 October, 1991.
