FOREIGN MINISTER LEAVES FOR SINGAPORE, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND AND THAILAND IN THE PRESIDENT’S DELEGATION

On 21 February Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antanas Valionis leaves for Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Thailand in the delegation led by the President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus.

These are the first visits of the highest officials to the countries of Asia and Oceania after restoration of Lithuania’s independence.

Foreign Minister Valionis will take part in Lithuanian President’s meeting with Prime Ministers of four countries, the King of Thailand, the President of Singapore, and the Governors-General of Australia and New Zealand.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister will also take part in the Lithuania-Singapore business forum, meet with Foreign Minister of New Zealand and with Lithuanian Community of Melbourne and New Zealand.

 Foreign Minister is to return to Lithuania on 3 March.
