On 17-18 January, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis will attend the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The head of the Lithuanian diplomacy will be one of the keynote speakers at the session “Russia: What Next?” on 18 January, speaking on the impact of Russia’s war against Ukraine on the international community and the aggressor itself. The session will also be attended by the European Commissioner for Trade Valdis Dombrovskis, Romanian Foreign Minister Luminița Odobescu and Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.

The debate will be broadcast on 18 January at 16:00-16:45 Lithuanian time on the World Economic Forum website.

In Davos, the Minister will also meet with Ministers from the United Arab Emirates, Argentina and Nigeria and other decision-makers and business leaders to discuss business development opportunities in Lithuania.

The meeting in Davos, organised annually by the World Economic Forum, is one of the most important formats for world leaders to meet. The event brings together heads of state, government representatives, major international organisations and the CEOs of over 1,000 companies.

The theme of the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum is “Rebuilding Trust”. The event will focus on the core principles that underpin trust, including transparency, consistency and accountability.
