FOREIGN MINISTER CONGRATULATES PARTICIPANTS OF THE LANGUAGE COMPETITION
On 22 March, Lithuania‘s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Ušackas together with U.S ambassador John Albert Cloud, ambassador of the Russian Federation Vladimir Chkhikvadze and Germany‘s ambassador Hans Peter Annen visited Skuodas, congratulated the contestants of foreign language competition at the Bartuva Secondary School and presented them with memorabilia.
Pupils from 2 to 12 grades who study English, Russian and German took part in the language competition. Their main task was to perform a song in the English, Russian or German language.
The goal of this project is to encourage pupils to be more active in learning foreign languages, to deepen the knowledge and to get acquainted with the culture and traditions of foreign countries. The competition takes place the fifth year in a row and this time more than a hundred pupils took part in it.
In Skuodas, Minister V.Ušackas showed places of interest to the ambassadors, they also visited the Vaclovas Intas‘s Museum of Rare Stones in Mosėdis.
