Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antanas Valionis congratulated the Lithuanian diplomatic corps, the personnel of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the staff of the Lithuanian diplomatic missions on the 85th anniversary of the Lithuanian Diplomatic Service. As the Minister pointed out at the conference held on 13 November on the occasion, the way of the Lithuanian Diplomacy has never been an easy one. „Our State is not big, neither is its Diplomatic Service. Nevertheless, the works done by the Lithuanian Diplomatic Service in last 85 years are worth to be called the great ones“, the Minister said. In his opinion, now that the most important goals of acceding the European Union and NATO are almost achieved, the moment has come not just to review the lessons of the past, but to discuss the future of the Lithuanian Diplomacy as well.
