FOREIGN MINISTER CONGRATULATES ESTONIANS ON SUCCESSFUL EU REFERENDUM

Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antanas Valionis congratulated the citizens of Estonia on the positive outcome of the referendum on the membership in the EU that took place on 14 September.
“I am deeply convinced that the membership of the Estonian Republic in the EU will bring further prosperity for your country and will contribute to a greater stability and economic progress in the Baltic region and in Europe as a whole”, the Minister’s letter of congratulation says.
According to Minister Valionis, a full-fledge membership of Lithuania and Estonia in the EU will provide a more solid framework for the cooperation between the countries on bilateral and multilateral levels.
