Foreign Minister Budrys to attend the EU's Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels

On 23 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, will attend the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) in Brussels.

Just ahead of the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the EU foreign ministers will discuss military, financial, and energy support, security guarantees for Ukraine, and increasing pressure on Russia with a view to adopting the 20th sanctions package. Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, will join the meeting remotely.

Ministers will also discuss the situation in the Middle East in light of the latest developments concerning the Gaza Strip, as well as Iran and Syria.
Foreign ministers will also hold an informal exchange on the fight against disinformation and information manipulation.
