EVERY WORLD LITHUANIAN CAN BRING EXPERIENCE AND TALENT TO HOMELAND, LITHUANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER SAID AT THE CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE FESTIVAL
The closing ceremony of an International Music Festival Sugrįžimai (The Returns) took place on 12 May in Vilnius. Lithuanian musicians who live and work abroad performed at the festival, which is a good example showing that every world Lithuanian can bring experience and talent to homeland, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Audronius Ažubalis said.
“I am proud that in all 13 years the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been a loyal patron of the festival, which is organized by the Lithuanian Musicians’ Foundation. Now this cooperation of ours has become more necessary than ever before to strengthen awareness that it does not matter where we live, because we are one nation and every world Lithuanian can bring experience and talent to homeland, as we are part of Global Lithuania,” the Minister said at the final concert of the festival.The 13th International Music Festival Sugrįžimai (The Returns), which is organized by the Lithuanian Musicians’ Foundation, took place from March 24 to May 12. A total of 16 concerts were given in Vilnius, Kaunas and Šiauliai. Musicians from Germany, the Republic of South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, the U.S.A, and other countries performed at the concerts. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs supported the festival financially.
