EURO-ATLANTIC INTEGRATION EXPERIENCE WILL BE SHARED IN VILNIUS

On 8-10 February U.S. and German George C. Marshall Centre, Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Institute of International Relations and Political Science (IIRPS) of Vilnius University organize a conference "The Baltic Region and the South Caucasus: Strategies for Cooperation and Patterns of Reform". The tree days conference in IIRPS will be attended by high-ranking politicians, parliamentarians, diplomats, military officers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and their counterparts from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, other countries and international organizations. The participants will discuss lessons that countries starting Euro-Atlantic integration can learn from the Baltic States Euro-Atlantic integration road and seek to define possible Western states assistance for the Southern Caucasus states reforms, analyse the means for conflict settlement in the region. The Euro-Atlantic integration of the Southern Caucasus states and their reforms will be analysed and projected during the conference. One of the most famous security policy studies institution’s George C. Marshall European Centre’s for Security Studies decision to organize the conference in Vilnius is a great appreciation of Lithuania’s integration experience and recognition of Lithuania as a real expert on eastern neighbours.
