EU-MEDITERRANEAN COOPERATION DISCUSSED IN ITALY

On 6 July in Palermo, a four-day meeting of ministers in charge of trade affairs from the present and future EU member states and the Mediterranean countries started. Lithuania is represented by Foreign Undersecretary Darius Jurgelevičius. Issues of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), including information on the Doha negotiation rounds and preparation to the WTO ministerial conference to be held in Cancun (Mexico) in September, as well as strengthening relations between the EU and Mediterranean region countries, etc. are among the main topics on the agenda of the meeting.
