ENHANCING COOPERATION BETWEEN LITHUANIA AND PERU
On 23 March Lithuanian Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Oskaras Jusys and Director of the America, Asia, Africa and Oceania Department Jonas Paslauskas met with Ambassador of Peru Manuel Picasso Botto who is on working visit to Lithuania and discussed the countries` cooperation in international organizations.
In the meeting development of bilateral relations between Lithuania and Peru and plans to establish consular posts in Lima and Vilnius were also discussed.
Ambassador Picasso Botto who resides in Helsinki came to Lithuania to present credentials to the President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus. During his visit the Ambassador also met with the Speaker of the Seimas Artūras Paulauskas, the Chairman of the Group for Interparliamentary Relations with Latin America Kęstutis Glaveckas.
